Spiritual awakening is one of those things that simply cannot be described in words, for words are human and can but scratch the surface of Spirit. Nevertheless we must try, and so we use metaphors and stories as best we can to paint a picture of an aspect of what it is about. My own awakening began some twenty five hundred years ago, when something deep inside me looked around and said, I’ve done just about everything there is to do here on Earth. There’s not much left to experience that’s truly new, and it’s time to find my way back to my source.
