As angels, we came to visit Earth (to experience duality of all things) and we found ourselves involved in all kinds of human activities.   Wanting to understand life in the 3D world, we listened to the conversations of people around us.

Some authority said the terrorists would destroy us.  The news reported a great epidemic of illness.  And someone who certainly knows explained in great detail that current financial hardships were certain to continue indefinitely, that no one was safe.  We’ve heard there are not enough good-hearted people in the world and soon environmental catastrophe will end life as we know it on Earth.

We heard it so often, we began to wonder if these things might not be true and we could feel our angelic senses dim.  Our divinity shriveled as we looked in the mirror and saw that we were dressed as human beings walking the Earth in fear, doubt, and uncertainty. Continue reading »

This entry is part 2 of 2 in the series Awakening

My own awakening began some twenty five hundred years ago, when something deep inside me looked around and said, I’ve done just about everything there is to do here on Earth.  There’s not much left to experience that’s truly new, and it’s time to find my way back to my source.

I wasn’t alone, for there have always been a small group of people on Earth who call themselves explorers, and who passionately push the boundaries anywhere there are boundaries to push and new experiences to discover.  Within that group Continue reading »

This entry is part 1 of 2 in the series Awakening

Spiritual awakening is one of those things that simply cannot be described in words, for words are human and can but scratch the surface of Spirit.  Nevertheless we must try, and so we use metaphors and stories as best we can to paint a picture of an aspect of what it is about.  The following metaphor was first used by my dear friend Tobias, and I have expanded upon it based upon my own experience and that of others I know. You may have read John’s posts on playing the game of lack.  John and I certainly enjoy the luxury of being able to bounce ideas off one another, which creates a wonderful synergy where insights are prevalent.  We had one of those great exchanges yesterday and I went to bed last night wondering, what do we do to create more freedom in our lives and less struggle?  Here’s what I woke up with this morning. We are subject to so many different energies right now, we need to find a way to choose what we want to experience.  I have meditated for years as a way to manage my sensitivity to the chaotic world we live in.  I would “escape” this world and for a time I would experience a blissful state, much like being in the eye of the storm.  This served me well as I could emerge from meditation feeling refreshed and renewed, ready to face the chaos of life once again.  This was an old energy survival skill and I am so grateful to have learned to meditate.  It probably saved my life. Even as I wrote my last post on How to Stop the Game of Lack, I knew I was missing something.  I could feel there was a deeper layer I hadn’t yet been able to grasp, and even as I wrote my list of dysfunctional beliefs that keep me loving the game, I could feel that I was missing the point.  There’s something even deeper than these I kept thinking, something that when I find it will make all of these irrelevant.  After a conversation with Mary Beth I finally saw what it was, and though I’ve barely scratched the surface so far, I’ll do my best to articulate it here. Yesterday I had a huge “aha” moment about something that troubles so many of us.  It was the New Year’s Eve webcast and channel from Adamus, and a questioner asked for—demanded really—some clear and practical tips on how to free ourselves from the financial lack that so many of us on the path of awakening struggle with.  I don’t remember the exact words from the profound exchange which followed, so I’ll just share what I learned from it in my own words here.
